Idli and podi have always been a classic combination. This quick and simple dish is sure to give you a bit of that tasty combination with every bite.

Ingredients
- 10 leftover idlis
- 2 cups onion (finely chopped)
- 2 green chilies (adjust to taste)
- 6 curry leaves
- 4 tbsp idli milagai podi (adjust to taste)
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp urad dhal
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Add water to a bowl with 1 tsp salt. Mix well.
- Immerse one idli into the water and then squeeze out the water. Crumble the idlis and put into a separate bowl. Repeat for all idlis.
- Add oil to a frying pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and urad dhal.
- Once mustard seeds crackle, add onions, green chilies and curry leaves.
- Saute until the raw smell of the onions fade.
- Add the idli crumbs and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Then, add idli podi and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Adjust salt and spice as needed.
- Serve hot on its own or with chutney and sambar.
