Broccoli Poriyal
This crunchy, quick and simple dish is easy to make and is a great side dish with any rice and curry.

Ingredients
2
medium sized broccoli crowns
3
garlic cloves
(chopped)
1
tsp
red chili flakes
2
tbsp
oil
½
tsp
mustard seeds
¼
tsp
urad dhal
salt to taste
Instructions
Cut broccoli into small florets, wash and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and urad dhal.
Once mustard seeds crackle, add garlic and saute for 1 minute.
Add broccoli, chili flakes and salt to taste.
Cover with lid and cook for 2-3 minutes. To keep the broccoli crunchy do not overcook.
Adjust spice as needed and serve hot.
