This crunchy, quick and simple dish is easy to make and is a great side dish with any rice and curry.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized broccoli crowns
  • 3 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp urad dhal
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Cut broccoli into small florets, wash and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and urad dhal.
  • Once mustard seeds crackle, add garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add broccoli, chili flakes and salt to taste.
  • Cover with lid and cook for 2-3 minutes. To keep the broccoli crunchy do not overcook.
  • Adjust spice as needed and serve hot.
