Cauliflower Poriyal is a simple recipe for anytime you need a vegetable to eat with your meals. Just toss some cauliflower florets in spices and enjoy!

Ingredients
6cupscauliflower florets
¼tspturmeric powder
2tspblack pepper
2tspcumin seeds
2dry red chilies
10 curry leaves
2tbspoil
1tspurad dhal
½tspmustard seeds
salt to taste
Instructions
Wash cauliflower florets and set aside.
Coarsely grind black pepper and cumin seeds. Set aside.
Add oil to a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds, urad dhal and dry red chilies.
When mustard seeds crackle, add cauliflower florets
Add tumeric powder and salt to taste. Saute this for 2 minutes.
Cover with a lid and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
Remove the lid and add 2 tsp of the freshly ground powder. Add more if needed.
Then, add curry leaves and mix well.
Cook on high flame for 3-4 minutes.
Once cooked, remove from heat and set aside. Do not over cook the cauliflower.
