Thalicha Idli with Onions
This spin on leftover idli, is for the onion lovers out there. Soft idlis and sauteed onions make a great pair for breakfast on a busy day.

Ingredients
- 15 idlis
- 1 cup onion (chopped)
- 4 green chilies
- 6 curry leaves
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp urad dhal
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 cups water
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Add water and 1 tsp of salt to a bowl.
- Immerse one idli at a time into the bowl. Squeeze out the excess water and crumble the idli. Repeat with all idlis and set aside in a bowl.
- Add oil to a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and urad dhal.
- Once the mustard seeds crackle, add chopped onions, green chilies and curry leaves.
- Then add idli crumbs and salt to taste and gently mix.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
- Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
