Anything fried always tastes good, but add some spices to it and its sure to taste even better.

Ingredients
- 2 plantains (cut into thick matchsticks)
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp masala powder
- ⅛ tsp cinnamon powder
- salt to taste
- ¼ cup oil (for shallow fry)
For ground seasoning:
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 5 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup curry leaves (4 sprigs)
Instructions
- Coarsely grind the fennel seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper, garlic and curry leaves. Add to cut plantain.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, masala powder and salt to plantains. Toss and set aside for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour oil into a frying pan. Once hot, carefully add a few pieces at a time and fry until fully cooked.
- Check for spice and salt and adjust as needed.
- Serve hot as a side dish.
