Soak cut vazhakkai in water 
Add mustard seeds and garlic to hot oil 
Strain vazhakkai 
Add masala powder and turmeric powder 
Dry roast and add curry leaves 
Ennai Vazhakkai

Ingredients
- 2 vazhakkai (green plantain)
- 1 tbsp masala powder (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 10 curry leaves
- 3 tbsp oil
- salt
Instructions
- Cut vazhakkai and add it to water to prevent browning.
- Add oil to a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and garlic.
- Once mustard seeds crackle, strain the vazhakkai and add to the pan.
- Add turmeric powder, masala powder and salt. Mix well.
- Dry roast vazhakkai until well cooked.
- Add curry leaves and saute for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot with yogurt rice or as a side dish.
