Beans Poriyal is one of the quickest side dishes you can make when you're in a rush. Just chop and saute some beans, add some spices and salt and you're on your way to a tasty meal.

Ingredients
- 4 cups beans (chopped)
- 1 medium sized onion (chopped)
- 6 curry leaves
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp urad dhal
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Add oil to a pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds and urad dhal.
- Once mustard seeds start to crackle, add chopped onions and curry leaves.
- Saute for 2 minutes. The raw smell should fade.
- Add chili flakes and salt. Mix well.
- Cover pan with a lid and cook for 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the beans.
- Remove lid and cook on high flame for 1 minute.
- Serve hot as a side dish.
