King Fish Fry

Ingredients
- 5 pieces King fish
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- salt
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
To grind:
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp masala powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp Kasimiri red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 5 cloves garlic
- 2 inch ginger piece (cut into cubes)
Instructions
- Place the fish on a flat bowl.
- Add lemon juice and salt to the bowl.
- Evenly spread turmeric powder on all the pieces. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Next, add all ingredients under "To grind:", except the ginger and garlic, into a blender. Grind until a fine powder forms.
- Then, add ginger and garlic to the blender. Grind into a thick paste. (Add a few drops of water, if needed)
- Rub the ground mixture on all the fish pieces and let the marinade sit for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, heat oil in a frying pan.
- Once hot, add 1-2 pieces of fish to the frying pan (depends on the size of your fish and frying pan).
- Fry on medium flame and cook until crisp and golden brown.
- Now, carefully flip the fish over and cook on the other side.
- Once the fish is thoroughly cooked, remove the fish from the oil and place it on a plate lined with paper towels.
- Repeat this process for the remaining fish pieces.
