Potato Fry

Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, these potatoes are so addicting! They pair well with any dish, giving you one more reason to make this yummy dish often.

Ingredients

  • 12 Petite Yukon Gold potatoes (cut into matchsticks)
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp masala powder (you can also use chili powder)
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Once hot, add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and black pepper.
  • Once it sizzles, add the potatoes to the pan.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, masala powder, Kashmiri red chili powder and salt.
  • Saute for 4-5 minutes.
  • Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and cook until potatoes are well done and crispy.
  • Serve hot as a side dish.
