Thalicha Idli without Onions
Thalicha Idli is a quick dish that can be made with leftover idlis. Idlis are cubed and slightly roasted in spices, giving them great texture and flavor.

Ingredients
- 5 idlis (cubed)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp urad dhal
- 6 curry leaves
- 2 dry red chilies
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Add oil to a frying pan. Once hot, add mustard seeds, urad dhal and dry red chilies.
- Once mustard seeds start to crackle, add curry leaves and idli cubes.
- Gently mix and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Add freshly ground pepper, cumin seeds and salt to taste.
- Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
